Valencia Orange (Citrus Sinensis)
The Valencia Orange is one of the Sinensis family cultivars that can adapt best to different weather conditions and, as a consequence, it is spread all over the world. This tree is quite vigorous, it has an erect growth habit (meaning its branches grow vertically), a rich foliage and small spines.
USES AND FUN FACTS
The Valencia Orange fruits are very late, they can even ripen in high summer in some areas. They are round-shaped, have a light-orange peel, thick on average, while their pulp is yellow with orange hues, and is very juicy; being high in vitamin C, this fruit is ideal for juices.
Despite adapting to different types of climates, we recommend sheltering the Valencia Orange in case of long-lasting low temperatures.
