Trachelospermum Jasminoides

DESCRIPTION:

Trachelospermum belongs to the Apocynaceae family and is native to Asia. It is an evergreen and climbing shrub. It has a flexible and thin stem, green or reddish in color; the leaves are lanceolate, dark green, shiny and leathery.

Trachelospermum jasminoides, also known as evergreen jasmine, grows luxuriant throughout Italy, with the exception of those regions where temperatures during the winter are particularly cold.

The most suitable period for planting Trachelospermum jasminoides is spring, between the end of April and the beginning of May. During the initial phase of growth, the plant must be supported and supported with special supports, as well as guided so that it takes on the desired shape. It grows quite rapidly, and can reach 5-6 meters in height; due to their dense evergreen vegetation they are often also used as hedges.

WEATHER RESISTANCE:

They can tolerate temperatures close to freezing, although they prefer mild and temperate climates.
