Kucle (Citrus Japonica and Citrus Clementina)
The Kucle likely comes from Japan, but it’s one of the citrus trees with the most remote origins. It was imported to Europe in the XIX century.
This tree has medium, small-dimensions, it is bushy and dense. Its branches are a little spiny and its lanceolate leaves have a dark green colour on their upper surface.
USES AND FUN FACTS
It primarily blooms in Summer. Its flowers are single, small, white and sweet-scented. This tree is very productive , its fruits are small and rounded (different from the Kumquat fruits, which are bigger, oval and bitter), they have a smooth, aromatic, orange peel that tastes good. They can stay on the tree for several months.
This tree has a good resistance to cold.
